Mogens Kold

A furniture manufacturer based in Copenhagen, Denmark. It began as a sawmill founded by Martin Kold in 1914, and in 1950 Martin's son Mogens took over the business and established Mogens Kold. The high-end furniture designed in collaboration with leading architects and designers quickly gained a reputation and achieved great success not only domestically but also by exporting to Europe and the United States. The business closed down in the early 1990s and furniture production was halted, but Mogens Kold furniture is still popular today and trades at high prices.
