This is #506 Korean shelf by Matsumoto Folk Craft Furniture.
The Korean shelf was redesigned with the quality of Matsumoto Mingei Furniture, with the motif of traditional Korean furniture from the Yi Dynasty. It has a delicate yet strong structure and a refined and exquisite design. The shelves, pillars, and other joints are assembled using traditional joint techniques. The careful processing, called Kensakitome Hozotsugi, creates a sharp edge reminiscent of the tip of a sword, which not only looks beautiful but also increases the strength of the piece. The front panel is made of beautiful Mizumezakura wood, and the sturdy construction, carefully crafted by skilled artisans, will last for generations.
This full-length mirror features the vivid grain and hard wood of Mizumezakura, which becomes more beautiful and tasteful the more it is used. The openwork carvings on the legs are an accent to this charming Japanese-Western fusion design. The joints on the frame and legs show the skilled handiwork of artisans from Matsumoto, a long-established producer of Japanese furniture.
