The Fresco dressing desk was designed by Victor Bramwell Wilkins for G-PLAN, a brand emblematic of mid-century Britain.
The Fresco series is said to be the best-selling series of G-PLAN, which took the world by storm in the UK about 50 years ago. Following the Danish series of 1960, the original design was created by Ib Kofod-Larsen and has a strong Nordic feel, using teak wood. It is still the most popular series that symbolizes G-PLAN today.
Compared to the Fresco series dressing desk (1982), which is relatively widely distributed, this dressing desk is a little smaller and has a rare model with three mirrors. It can be used as a dresser or as a desk by removing the mirror. It is a beautiful item with ample storage space and a well-balanced design.
The design has details in common with the circular table designed as part of the Fresco series living collection. It is a long table called a long john table that goes well with a three-seater sofa. It is a highly practical table with a glass top in the center and a rack underneath that doubles as a display and storage space.
